History of Crime Services Agency

Crime Services Agency Limited is a leading specialist publishing company which deals solely with the design, print and distribution of community safety material. We were the first in the country to produce community safety booklets for police and local authorities and this year sees our 12th year in operation.

We are committed to updating and improving our publications to reflect the raft of new legislation which affects the way our local community safety strategies are policed and managed.

The company was founded in 1996 by the late Ed Plater, with the launch of a community safety booklet for Humberside Police.

Since then CSA has worked closely with 38 constabularies and more than 250 local authorities around the country producing millions of community safety booklets each year as well as specialist crime reduction material for individual forces.

Former regional newspaper editor and news journalist Deborah Cavanagh joined CSA in October 1999 to strengthen the production team and liaise with the corporate communications teams around the country, to ensure branding disciplines were met.

The Home Office's CRN Crime Reduction News and Digest Magazine has featured the booklets on two separate occasions in the past two years. To see more click here »
